These are low key, informal events, with as much emphasis on the Social side – in the Pub afterwards - as the competition and we’re really keen to see some new people trying it out. All you need is a decent torch (plus a back up torch and a whistle) – fitness and speed are less important than in day orienteering (most of us would be quicker if we walked round anyway!).

And if you're new to night orienteering you may like to start on your course before it gets totally dark.

You can run or walk on your own or with Friends and Family.

Events take place on Saturday evenings.

Start when dark - or dusk for non-competitive and inexperienced orienteers if possible. Usual times are registration from about 1730, starts from 1800.

You are encouraged to start as early as possible. The earlier everyone has completed their courses, the earlier controls can be collected and everyone can repair to the pub.

Entries £5 for Adults and Groups and £3 Juniors.

SAFETY REQUIREMENT

ALL competitors must carry a back-up torch and a whistle. Checks will be made at the start.

If you require any further information on any of the above events then please contact us via the contact page
